In just one week, Autumn officially begins. Is it just me, or can you already feel it in the air? I LOVE Autumn. There’s something so cosy about settling down with candles lit, a mug of hot chocolate and a squishy, warm crochet project. If you’re feeling those Fall vibes, then this is the perfect blog post for you. I’m going to be sharing my favourite seasonal makes that are chock-full of Autumn goodness. From cosy projects to nature-inspired projects that mimic the changing leaves and abundance of the season – it’s all here! Ready? Grab your hook, a mug of something warming and let’s look at my favourite 10 FREE Autumn crochet patterns.

You can Crochet with Bella Coco

Let’s start with something AMAZING. This beautiful Fall Wreath by the super talented Sarah at Repeat Crafter Me is so modern and understated, yet still packed full of Autumn vibes.

A crochet wreath in Fall colours of brown, orange, yellow, blue and green sits against a black door. There are small crochet pumpkins on the bottom of the wreath.

Just look at those sweet little pumpkins! I love the colour choices too – it’s such a modern, but still very Autumn-inspired palette.

Sticking with pumpkins, I have not just one…but TWO pumpkin patterns up on Bella Coco Crochet at the moment.

If you fancy a statement piece to sit on a fireplace or bookshelf, then the Autumn Pumpkin pattern is for you! Hooked up in pretty, but warm Autumn pastels, these gorgeous gourds can be made in different weight yarns to create unique, different sized crochet pumpkins.

If you prefer a more portable pumpkin pattern, then you’ll love my Crochet Pumpkin. This mini, but magnificent gourd is ideal for making your own seasonal bunting.

Autumn is very much about celebrating the bounty of nature – from pumpkins and corn to acorns and pinecones. These woodland wonders are the perfect way to add some seasonal spice to your home decor.

A string of acorns and oak leaves in Autumn colours of brown, cream, orange and yellow is strung across a fireplace.

This beautiful little Acorn Garland would be so pretty draped over a fireplace or pinboard. It would be such fun to customise with pretty Autumn shades of yarn.

If you think pastels are just for Spring, think again! Here are some of my favourite pastel-toned Autumn yarns.

Sticking with acorns…look at this adorable Little Acorn Project Bag by Brigitte of Roman Sock. Not only is it super cute, it’s functional too!

It’s the perfect place to store your yarn while you’re crocheting away! You won’t be chasing balls of yarn around with this awesome acorn to hand!

We’re sticking with oak trees just a LITTLE while longer – but this time let’s move from the fruit to the leaves. You can’t have an Autumn round-up without some beautiful foliage!

This beautiful Fall Oak Leaves pattern is just stunning. I love the subtle shaping and shading. Imagine how pretty a garland would be. Or even a draping curtain filled with different shades of Autumn gold, red, pink and brown.

And now…pinecones! Just look at the texture on these gorgeous little palm-sized pinecones.

The lovely Yarn Freak also has a beautifully Autumny collection of mushrooms, trees and other natural beauties on their site – so it’s well worth exploring!

The last little bit of home decor can also double up as a toy, as long as you’re careful to secure any small parts. But, I guarantee when your child sees this sweet little squirrel…they’re going to want it!

The Hygge Squirrel from Underground Crafter is just perfect for adding a sweet little seasonal animal to any Autumn display. The best bit? There’s an accompanying hedgehog and owl pattern!

It’s not just home decor that’s perfect for your Autumn crochet projects. How about a cosy cardigan? The Campfire Cardigan from the super talented Jess at Make and Do Crew is a classic. There’s a reason for that – it’s cute AND cosy as well as being incredibly simple to make.

And finally, to round off this list – the perfect cover up to stay cosy on cool Autumn nights. The Autumn Garden Shawl by In The Yarn Garden is a fun project that uses a collection of different crochet techniques to hook up a stunning shawl. You’ll never be bored with this lacy lovely!

I hope you enjoyed this round-up – I’d LOVE to know what’s on your hook this Autumn. Leave a comment and let me know!
