Speaking as a Brit, I think it’s a fact universally acknowledged that the UK Summer cannot be trusted. The sun can be shining and the breeze positively balmy one minute, then suddenly a chilly breeze and you might as well be in Winter again. So, how do you tackle weather like that? Guest designer Aly of Love, Aly has the perfect solution, the Cherie Crochet Capelet. This quick cover-up is ideal for turning your Summer fit into something slightly warmer, when needed. Not only that, it’s cute as heck!
Hooked up in beautiful Summery shades, this is the ideal way to beat the British weather, rock warm weather crochet and add a handmade twist to your style.

But, don’t sweat it! (see what I did there?). I’ve put together a collection of patterns that are ideal for working on when the weather is warm. You can browse the whole collection by clicking here, or by typing ‘warm weather crochet‘ in my search bar. Handy, right?

ABOUT ALY
I’m Aly, I like bad coffee and bad wine. I stumbled across crochet in 2017 when looking at what to make my goddaughter for her Christening. Since then, yarn has taken over every corner of my house. I’m always itching to get started on a new project and inspiration strikes everywhere… but I never seem to have enough yarn!
When I’m not crocheting, I’m knitting, and when I’m not knitting, you can usually find me scowling over a spreadsheet at my full-time engineering gig that I only attend to fund my yarn habit (and major travelling obsession). I’ve visited every continent except South America and Antarctica and 46 out of 50 US States – and I’m one of those people who buys souvenir yarn… no wonder I have so much! If I could live anywhere it would be in New Zealand, and apparently they have a lot of sheep… coincidental? I think not.
