Easter is the perfect time to get crafty, so here is an Easter egg pattern including a video tutorial to keep your hands busy. I love seeing these made in different colours so be sure to tag me if you make one!

Yarn: Rico creative cotton aran
Hook: 4.5mm
Crochet terms
ch – Chain
dc- Double crochet
inc- Increase (2 double crochets in same space)
dec- Decrease (insert hook, yarn over and pull through, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over and pull through, yarn over, pull through all three loops)

Foundation: Ch 2
Round one: 8dc in 2nd chain from the hook
Round two: Inc, 4dc, inc, 2dc (10)
Round three: Inc, 5dc, inc, 3dc (12)
Round Four: Inc, 6dc, inc, 4dc (14)
Round Five: Inc, 7dc, inc, 5dc (16)
Round Six: Inc, 8dc, inc, 6dc (18)
Round Seven: Ind, 9dc, inc, 7dc (20)
Round Eight: Inc, 10dc, inc, 8dc (22)
Round Nine: Dc (22)
Round Ten: Dc2tog, 4dc, dc2tog, 3dc repeat (18)
Round Eleven: Dc2tog, 3dc, dc2tog, 2dc repeat (14)
Stuff- be sure to add more stuffing to the base of the egg.
You will now start to decrease your rounds.
Round Twelve: Dc2tog, 2dc, dc2tog, dc repeat (10)
Round Thirteen: Dc2tog 5times (5)
Round Fourteen: Dc in opposite stitch. Tie off
Sew ends into your egg and customise as you please.
