Crochet terms
ch – Chain
ss – Slip Stitch
htr – Half Treble Crochet
*__* repeat instructions
Pattern
Foundation chain: Chain in multiples of 2.
Row 1: ss in 2nd ch from the hook, *htr, ss* repeat until you come to the end of the row. You will finish with a ss.
Row 2: ch2 and turn, *ss in the top of the htr from the previous row, htr into the ss from the previous row* repeat until you come to the end of the row. You will finish with a htr.
Row 3: ch1 and turn, ss in the first available stitch, *htr, ss* repeat until you come to the end of the row. You will finish with a ss.
Repeat row 2 & 3 until you reach your desired size.

Is there supposed to be an DC introduced and on some of this you go from SS HT to SD DT?? Just wanted to make sure

October 17, 2019 at 2:14 pmHi marie151, You can find the written instructions for this pattern on my blog using the following link: https://bellacocoblog.frogspark.agency/crunch-stitch-tutorial/ You are using a slip stitch and half treble crochet throughout. Half treble crochet and half double crochet are different terms for the same stitch (one is British, one is American), I think this may be where the confusion has arisen.
