Easy Crochet Gifts
These crochet coasters are one of my most popular projects and I think it’s because they are so quick and easy to make. They are also super customisable, you can either crochet in a block colour, or why not change it up a little. Any DK weight yarn would be good for this project, ideally cotton, but acrylic will also be fine as a cup of tea or coffee in a mug shouldn’t get hot enough to melt the acrylic.
Crochet Tea Cosy
This Tea Cosy is great gifted on it’s own or as a matching set with the coasters. I made this for my Mum a good few years back for Mothers Day and she loved it. In fact, this is the EXACT teas cosy I made her! Sorry Mum….I’ll get it back to you soon! lol
Crochet baskets are always a winner in my eyes because they are so versatile. They can be used to organise any area of your home. Here are two examples of some baskets you could whip up. The first being a trio of nesting baskets. You can only see one because I have the other two dotted around my home being put to good use.
The second basket is a little bit larger to fit more in. I used an acrylic yarn to give a bit more of a floppy feel, but you could work this up in a cotton yarn to give a bit more stability.
Crochet Flower Bookmark
Need to make a gift for a bookworm? This cute little Flower Bookmark is SO cute. They look great in all different colours and work up really quickly too. You can choose to make one or a meadow full, either way, your book-loving friend will love it!
Bobble stitch case
I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t love a good bobble stitch project! This bobble stitch case can be used for crochet hooks, pens or even glasses! The choice is yours. Here’s a video tutorial for the bobble stitch, simply make a rectangle piece, fold in half and sew up one small edge and the long edges…voila!
The scrunchies have made a huge comeback and it’s easy to see why. Scrunchies made with velvet yarn are just GORGEOUS! Experient with different yarn weights, fibres and stitch counts to create these fun and easy gifts.
Crochet Bottle Wrap
This is a new pattern to the blog by guest designer Lucy from @craftingbylucy and it’s been a HUGE hit! I mean, it’s easy to see why, these sparkly bottle wraps will take your bubbly gifts to the next level.
