Let it snow! While the chances of a British white Christmas might be low, I guarantee this retro ski-themed set will have you dreaming of deep drifts and swirling snow flurries in no time. This sweet set by guest designer Louise of Mammamaker is packed full of vintage charm. While you might not be able to spend the snowy season in the Alps in a cosy little cabin – you can IMAGINE you’re there with this crochet beanie and mittens pattern. And let’s face it…that’s almost as good, right? Pass the fondue!
Louise herself says, “With a love of the style and retro alpine vibes in ski and snowboard apparel, I designed a crochet version incorporating tapestry crochet details and texture. The crochet beanie fit can be worn 2 ways as a slouch fit or turn the rib hem up for a more fitted beanie. The mitten has a flip top design for ease of using any technology. It’s a versatile and unisex design ideal for learning a few new techniques including the alpine stitch, seed stitch and also some basic tapestry crochet.“
As this is a guest post, Bella Coco Crochet is unable to answer any queries. If you have a question, please contact the designer directly and they will be happy to help you.

ABOUT LOUISE
My name is Louise, I’m 40 years old and Mummy to two. I’ve always had a love of anything crafty from a young age, learning to sew and knit from my Nan and Mum. This love of creating carried on and I went on to study fashion, graduating with a degree in Fashion almost 20 years ago and have worked in the industry since then. When my son was born in 2012, I decided to try crochet but struggled with using one hook and didn’t persevere but then tried again when expecting my second child a few years later with the help of Bella Coco YouTube tutorials and haven’t stopped since! I set up my Instagram account Mammamaker (as I’m a Mamma/Mama and a maker of all things) and found a great community of like-minded people who inspire and motivate.
