The Little Arches crochet stitch is a beautiful stitch. It has slight lace like qualities and I think it would be a beautiful baby blanket stitch. Consisting of double crochet and chains, this stitch is really easy to work up and is a simple one row repeat.

MATERIALS & TOOLS
Feel free to play around with yarn weights and hook sizes for this stitch pattern, but I have used:
Yarn: I used Scheepjes SoftFun in Rose
Hook: I have used a 4.5mm Athena Hook

Chain(s): Ch(s): Yarn over and pull up a loop.
Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.

Little Fans Stitch Pattern
Foundation chain in multiple of 4 plus 4 for turning.(I’ve done 32 in my sample)
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook. *ch 3, dc in next ch, ch 3, miss 2 sts, dc in next ch; repeat from * to the end. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, miss first dc, *(dc, ch 3, dc) in ch-3 sp, ch 3, miss (dc, ch-3, dc); repeat from * across. Dc in beginning ch-3 sp. Turn.
Repeat row 2
Final row: Ch 1, dc in first ch, *ch 1, dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, dc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from * across until you have one ch-3 sp remaining. Ch 1, dc in ch-3 sp.
Tie off, sew in ends.
