I’m a huge fan of Moss Stitch. There’s something about the texture that’s just so comforting and cosy. It’s the perfect stitch for a blanket or blanket border. As usual with crochet, the Moss Stitch can also have an alternative name, Linen Stitch. While I love crochet, it can definitely be confusing at times.

Have you ever made a crochet blunder by confusing terms or stitches?

I know I have. But, the fabulous thing about crochet is that if you make a mistake…you just undo it and try again. It’s a mantra I always share with new hookers. If there’s a stitch or pattern you want to try out…just do it! The worst that could happen is a bit of wasted time and some yarn that needs unravelling. We don’t just learn by our success, but also our mistakes.

I think as a beginner it’s really important to remember that.

Back to Moss Stitch, this is a great stitch pattern for beginner crocheters.
