The Sprig Stitch is a beautiful stitch which looks like a double V stitch. This stitch is suitable for all skill levels, if you know how to Treble crochet (US Double crochet) then you will easily be able to replicate this. You can use any weight yarn however it looks fantastic in chunkier yarns.

*__* – Repeat indicated instructions

Pattern
Foundation chain: Chain in multiples of 4 plus 3
Row 1: 2tr in 4th ch from the hook, ch 2, 2tr in next chain, skip 2 chains. *2tr, ch 2, 2tr in next chain, skip 2 chains* repeat until you have 2 chs remaining. tr in last ch.
Row 2: ch3 and turn. *2tr, ch 2, 2tr in ch2 space* repeat until the last ch2 space. tr into the top of the ch 3 of the previous row.
Repeat row 2 until you reach your desired size.
In order to create a straight edge on the last row: ch3, *ss into the ch2 space, ch3* do your final ss in the top of the ch3. Tie off.
