Valentine’s Crochet: Heart Pops

These fun little crochet heart pops are perfect for Valentine’s Day. Whether you hook up an entire bouquet, pop a couple around your home or mix them with flowers – they’re a bright and beautiful way to add a homemade twist to Love Day. The best news? They’re SO easy and quick to make. So whether you’re a beginner or expert hooker, these crochet hearts are the perfect pattern for you to show your love.

You can Crochet with Bella Coco

Yarn: Stylecraft Special DK in:

Hook: 4mm

Darning needle

Scissors

POSSIBLE COLOUR COMBINATIONS

Romantic

Fresh

Warm

PATTERN NOTES

This pattern is written in UK terms.

CROCHET TERMS

Chain Stitch (ch): Insert hook, yarn over, pull though loop on the hook.

Slip Stitch (sl st): Insert hook through stitch, yarn over, pull through chain and loop on the hook.

Double Crochet (dc): Insert hook through stitch, yarn over, pull through chain stitch (2 loops on the hook), yarn over, pull through two loops on the hook.

CROCHET HEART POPS PATTERN

First ‘hump’ of heart

Round 1: Ch2, 6dc in 2nd ch from the hook

Round 2: 2dc in the top of each stitch from previous row (12)

Round 3: Dc in top of each stitch (12)

Round 4: Dc in top of each stitch (12)

Tie off.

Second ‘hump’ of heart

Repeat instructions from round one to round four.

DO NOT TIE OFF.

Body of heart

Working in continuous rounds

Round 5: ss first hump to second hump together, 12dc round first hump, 12c around second hump (24)

Round 6: 24dc in top of each stitch

Round 7: 4dc Dc2tog 4 times (20)

Round 8: 3dc dc2tog 4 times (16)

Round 9: 2dc dc2tog 4 times (12)

Stuff

Round 10: Dc2tog 6 times (6)

Round 11: Dc2tog 3 times (3)

Tie off.

    There are ss missing at the ends of the rows for the humps of the hearts. They are there on the video, just not these instructions! Loved making it though, and my son loved it too.
